What a night! Thanks to the generosity of our community, this year’s Evening for Education event was a tremendous success—raising over $55,000 and surpassing our fundraising goal to support our district.
On Friday, March 6, more than 170 parents, friends, and supporters came together at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center to celebrate, connect, and invest in the future of our schools. The energy in the room reflected what makes this community so special—a shared commitment to making our district exceptional.
The evening featured great food from All Occasions Catering, beautiful florals from Sendik’s Home and arrangements by Nicolette Deveneau and Laura Roberts, balloon arrangements by Balloon Lab MKE, casino-style gaming from Classic Casino, and a silent auction filled with gifts and experiences from generous local businesses. But more than anything, it was a reminder of what’s possible when a community comes together with a shared purpose.
Because of that support, the Foundation is able to fund a range of initiatives that enhance learning and enrich the student experience across the district, including:
- Expanding the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra’s Arts in Community Education (ACE) Program to reach K5 and 1st grade students
- Investing in STEAM programming through hands-on experiences and updated technology
- Continuing support for the Youth Frontiers’ Courage Retreat for all 7th grade students
- Supporting the development of outdoor classrooms at both schools
Every dollar raised helps bring these opportunities to life—creating experiences that go beyond the traditional classroom and leave a lasting impact on our students.
